A View from the Region: Different Perspectives on Israel's War with Lebanon's Hizbullah

Former and current Wilson Center scholars and speakers examine the war and its implications from the perspective of Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Turkey and the United States.

The Middle East Program is devoting the Fall issue of its "Occasional Paper Series" to the recent war between Israel and Lebanon's Hizbullah. The Program asked a number of former and current Wilson Center scholars as well as former speakers at the Center to contribute a piece for the Fall issue, examining the war and its implications from the perspective of Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Turkey and the United States. Given the timely nature of the topic, the Middle East Program decided to put the papers on its website prior to their publication.

The opinions expressed in the papers are those of the authors and in no way represent the views or opinions of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
