Overview

After a brief surge of sympathy for Georgia during the 2008 Russo-Georgian war, outsiders reached a general consensus of shared blame, exemplified by the EU fact-finding mission’s Tagliavini report. In retrospect, with an established pattern of Russian aggression in Ukraine and Syria, prize-winning journalist Yulia Latynina will revisit the context and causes of the 2008 war.
