Ana Paula was born and raised in Mexico, and then moved to Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2019 with a B.A. in International Studies, focusing on Latin America, and a B.A. in World Languages and Literatures. Prior to joining the Wilson Center, Ana worked as a Constituency Media Intern at the Center for American Progress where she worked with public policy and media experts. During the summer of 2018, she also worked with micro-businesses of indigenous origin in Mexico as a Consultant Intern. She is fluent in Spanish and English, and proficient in Italian and French.
