Full Biography

Antonio Britto is a Brazilian journalist, politician and executive. He served as Governor of the State of Rio Grande do Sul from 1995 to 1998, Minister of Social Security from 1992 to 1993 and as a Congressman of the State of Rio Grande do Sul from 1987 to 1995. After leaving public office, he held a number of executive positions in the private sector and from 2009-2018, Britto was President of the Brazilian Association of Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers (Interfarma).

He holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul and a bachelor's degree in Law from the Universidade Luterana do Brasil.
