Full Biography
Jonathan Bar-On is a former Staff Assistant Intern in the Middle East Program. He is a current junior at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, majoring in Science, Technology, and International Affairs, where he studies the intersection between energy transitions and economic development in the Middle East. He is also pursuing a double minor in Arabic and Economics. His interest in technology in the Middle East stems from working for two summers at the Shimon Peres Center for Peace and Innovation in Jaffa, Israel, where he witnessed firsthand how digital ecosystems could be effective pathways for peace.
