    Full Biography

    Scott Kennedy is Director of the Research Center for Chinese Politics & Business, Associate Professor of Political Science and East Asian Languages & Cultures, and Adjunct Professor of Business Economics and Public Policy at Indiana University. His research is centered around interest groups in China, and includes work on policymaking, industrial policy, global governance, and philanthropy. He is editor of Beyond the Middle Kingdom: Comparative Perspectives on China’s Capitalist Transformation (Stanford University Press, 2011); and author of The Business of Lobbying in China (Harvard University Press, 2005). He has published articles in The China Quarterly, The China Journal, Political Science Quarterly, Business and Society, Wall Street Journal, and other academic and popular outlets. Kennedy also writes the China Policy Watch series for GaveKal Dragonomics.
