Monde Muyangwa at the African Land Forces Summit

On May 8-11, 2017, Dr. Monde Muyangwa, Director of the Wilson Center Africa Program, participated in the African Land Forces Summit (ALFS), co-hosted by the Malawi Defense Force and U.S. Army Africa in Lilongwe, Malawi.

On May 8-11, 2017, Dr. Monde Muyangwa, Director of the Wilson Center Africa Program, participated in the African Land Forces Summit (ALFS), co-hosted by the Malawi Defence Force and U.S. Army Africa in Lilongwe, Malawi. ALFS 2017 brought together representatives from over 40 African countries, as well as international partners, to discuss the theme, “Enhancing Capacity Through Partnership in Africa." Dr. Muyangwa moderated key discussions on security challenges and opportunities, as well as sharing of best practices. The goal of ALFS is to provide an opportunity for African land forces chiefs and military leaders to enhance cooperate, strengthen relationships, and discuss solutions for security challenges and threats.
