Overview

Following the signing of an historic June 23rd agreement on a ceasefire and demobilization, the government of Colombia and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) are continuing talks aimed at the signing of a final peace accord in the near future. The post-accord era in Colombia will bring a host of new challenges, from security and rural development to the demobilization, disarmament, and reintegration of thousands of guerrilla fighters.  We hosted a discussion of current developments in Colombia and debates over the process, as well as the government's plans for the post-accord era.
