Senior Researcher, Security Program at Mexico Evalúa

Céline is a senior researcher for the Security Program at Mexico Evalúa. She has a Master's degree in Administration and Public Policy from the Center for Economic Research and Teaching (CIDE) and is studying for a Doctorate in Political and Social Sciences at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She has participated in multiple research projects related to gender and violence, including two investigations related to gender-based political violence at the local level during the 2017-2018 and 2020-2021 electoral cycles. with UN Women. Likewise, she has participated in projects focused on analyzing public policies through a gendered lens and women's political participation. From 2017 to 2023, she served as Director of Academic Evaluation and associate professor of the Political Studies Division of CIDE. In 2015, her thesis titled “From Descriptive Representation to Substantive Representation: Analysis of Gender Quotas of the State Congresses of Mexico” won the Best Thesis by the Master of Administration and Public Policies of the CIDE.
