Lukas Mengelkamp is a historian based at the University of Marburg. He received his B.A. and M.A. in history from the University of Bonn. His dissertation project focuses on the criticism of deterrence theory and practice by German peace researchers during the Cold War. It aims at contextualizing the criticism of deterrence in the political, social and cultural history of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.
