The Asia Program is pleased to announce the publication of a special issue of the journal Asian Affairs edited by Wilson Center fellow Dr. Neeti Nair and Asia Program deputy director Michael Kugelman. The issue features essays on religious freedom in South Asia that were initially presented as papers at the Wilson Center’s conference in January 2018, “Ghosts from the Past? In her introduction, Dr. Nair notes how the articles from the special issue “approach the question of religious freedom and the rights of religious minorities from a wide number of angles.” The issue also “provides us with new insights into the entangled relationships between these postcolonial states of South Asia, while also explaining the pressures exerted by internal, formerly dormant constituencies.” To read the full volume, click on the link:
