Full Biography

Falan Yinug is a seasoned economist, policy, and semiconductor industry expert with close to 20 years of experience in diverse roles spanning industry, trade associations, and government.  He serves as Director of Economic Strategy at Qualcomm, Inc., providing economic analysis and thought leadership on global technology and semiconductor industry, market, and economic policy issues.  Prior to joining Qualcomm, Falan was Director of Industry Statistics and Economic Policy at the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) for 9 years.  Prior to SIA, Falan worked for the U.S. International Trade Commission as its semiconductor and semiconductor manufacturing equipment analyst for 9 years. Falan began his career with the federal government as a Presidential Management Fellow where he also worked at the Office of Management and Budget and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. He has a B.A. from Carleton College and a master’s in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.
