Overview

On November 6, the Wilson Center hosted the inaugural Wilson Canada-United States Legal Issues Symposium in partnership with the Canada-United States Law Institute.

The Symposium focused on economic sanctions enforcement and compliance in Canada and the United States. Both countries have new and novel sanctions mechanisms that will be discussed by leading experts with particular attention to the challenges of compliance for firms operating in both countries. Attendees heard from the architects and practitioners behind contemporary Canadian and US sanctions tools and policies.
